"Pam is someone very special to talk with. Her perspectives with life and the struggles we all face, great or small are extremely healthy. Better than any other 'therapist' Pam is truly a life coach."

Living Your Design is an investment in you!

My father once told me, "You march to the beat of a different drum."  He admired me for that.  He was often puzzled when I'd attempt to march to the beat of someone else's drum. Dad, my unofficial counselor, life coach and consultant, died almost 15 years ago now.  I've named my business after his legacy of encouraging me and others in Living Your DesignHere's to you, "Doc" Walker.

How many people do you know who seem to hammer themselves into places they do not fit?

square-peg-round-hole

They (we) then wonder, "Why don't I feel good?"  "Why are my relationships failing?"  "Why am I unsuccessful?"

What works for one person may not work for another!  That's because each of us have been uniquely designed.

One man's medicine can be another man's poison! (Latin proverb)

Are you a person who might be using the hammer approach to life or might be poisoning yourself by attempting to live someone else's design?

Can you relate? Evaluate:

1.   Are you designed to work 80 hours a week?

2.   Are you designed to be super mom, super dad; super wife, super husband or super kid?

3.   Are you designed as a model of redemption or as a model of perfection?

4.   Are you designed to be an "A" student?

5.   Are you designed to say "Yes" to everyone who asks you for a favor?

6.   Are you designed to stuff your feelings?

7.   Are you designed to do the same thing over & over and expect different results?

8.   Is your body designed to be starved or overfed? Exercised or sedentary?

9.   Are your kids designed for what you are planning for them?

10. Are you designed to say "I do" to the most annoying habit your fiancé' might have?  (Remember that a marriage license does not mean transformation!)

11. Are you designed to berate yourself?

12. Is your family designed to live like yours did when you were growing up?

There are many reasons for hurting ourselves by trying to fit ourselves into spaces that simply do not fit us!  I think It all boils down to two:

1.  We don't know our unique design.

2.  We know it but are afraid to live it.

At first it can be uncomfortable Living Your Design. We get used to living in old patterns that feel normal.

  • Living Your Design is the process of weighing pros and cons,
considering options, leaving our comfort zone and testing out unfamiliar territory.

  • Living Your Design is a journey, a dance, an adventure.

  • Living Your Design is an investment in you!

I've come to realize, with the help of God, that a part of my own unique design is to help people discover what theirs is.  If they know what it is but are afraid to live it, I challenge them to take that risk.

Please call me for a complimentary session if you're interested in LivingYour Design to the fullest.  It's unique!

Great stuff! Good for me and good to share. Thank you for your generosity! I am enjoying the quality of Facebook that allows me to explore at my leisure the richness others are willing to share of themselves.
